North Shore Bike Fest 2010 Wrapup

It was a pretty interesting weekend: The North Shore Bike Fest came into town and it was quite the event. Lots of bike manufacturers were on hand offering demo rides, several bike shops were represented and NSRide was on hand with Endless Biking providing guided rides.

Saturday was the start of the festival, the day of the marathon XC race and the weather was incredible all day. The race started with a throwback to the North Shore Ripper Races where everybody had to drop their bikes and run 500 meters or so. Then they rode the BMX track at Interriver backwards: lots of fun on an XC bike with the seat up and clipped in. NSRide was well represented in the race with:

Other notables I saw in the results (sorry if I missed your name!)

Sunday was anchored by the Smackdown DH race and the weather was not nearly as nice. If you had the opportunity to get out to the course and watch some of the race, you were treated to some amazing riding. Who knew you could ride that fast down Ned's? Once again NSRide was well represented by:

Healing vibes to both Dave and Meghan: each had a pretty tough crash during the race.

All in all it was a pretty fun weekend. Looking forward to next year! For photos, results and other information, go to the official site for the North Shore Bike Fest.
