Hi guys,

I have been working on a GPS track management website called Breadcrumbs: http://www.gobreadcrumbs.com/. The website allows you to manage/share/edit your GPS tracks, you can also easily upload photos/videos with the track. The cool thing is it is all in the web browser and it is in 3D. The idea is you can playback your track and relive the adventure in 3D. You can also easily share your tracks on Facebook, email etc.

It is completely free to use. You will need to signup http://www.gobreadcrumbs.com/signup/ and create an account. Remember all you need is a GPS device which can be either your Garmin/Magellan or a smartphone with a GPS.

Here is an example ride from the Test of Metal if anyone did it: http://app.gobreadcrumbs.com/user/stewart/Mountain-Biking/Test-of-Metal-Training/Test-of-Metal-2010

Here is a ride from Thursday night: http://app.gobreadcrumbs.com/user/stewart/Mountain-Biking/Downhilling/Seymour-moutain-downhilling

Let me know what you think!

Cheers,

Stewart

There are several trail/GPS tracking websites out there, i've been looking at them to integrate with my Facebook Ride Log App. Since there are several I think im going to allow the user to select which 3rd party service they want to use.

So i'm excited to see you have an API allowing me to do this!

The Google Earth 3d playback is pretty rad, i've seen other sites have a 2D map playback, but not 3D. I do like the height graph that other sites like www.everytrail.com have, maybe something to consider adding.

It would also be nice to be able to see the attached photos in a larger view, same with the videos.

Hi, thanks for checking out the app. Some good feedback. At the moment we are only about 40% feature complete. We will have the elevation graph coming in a few days and we will also have a 'media' view coming where the user drives the experience with the media rather than the map.

I like the look of your app. It is a great idea tying into Facebook as you have the community aspect already built in. Should make it easier for you to get users. Our API is actually a huge focus of the project. We are already approaching smartphone developers who have existing apps and they are going to push directly to Breadcrumbs.

Do you ever go to the beers after on a Thurs? We should chat about it.
